Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

TOP ED CLINIC IN OTTAWA AND KITCHENER - WATERLOO

What is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?

Erectile Dysfunction (ED), or impotence, is characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual activity.

Although it can be a psychogenic condition, specifically for younger men, ED is often a vascular issue.

Erectile Dysfunction can affect men of all ages, with nearly 50% of men over the age of 50 having some form of ED.

Many men feel embarrassed or ashamed to talk about their ED, which can lead to feelings of isolation or depression.

The truth is, ED is a medical condition, and it’s important to seek professional help to address it.

Focused Shockwave Therapy is a safe, painless, and effective treatment for men’s sexual health and urogenital wellness.

It’s time to break the stigma surrounding ED. And it starts with YOU.

By talking openly and honestly about this condition, we can help more men feel comfortable and confident to seek the care and treatment they need.

You’re not alone – FocusWave Clinic can help.

Treating Erectile Dysfunction with Focused Shockwave Therapy

At FocusWave Clinic – we use the most powerful shockwave therapy device available in the marketplace to treat your condition.

Our certified shockwave therapy clinicians use a handheld wand to send focused shockwaves into the penis and perineum.

These powerful waves travel at 1,500 meters per second, to stimulate NEOVASCULARIZATION (New blood vessel formation), clear blocked blood vessels that may be inhibiting blood flow, and increase overall circulation in the penis.

The goal is to get the patient to achieve more natural, normal, stronger, fuller feeling and longer lasting erections.

Who is a Good Candidate for Erectile Dysfunction Treatments with Focused Shockwave Therapy?

Whether you are currently taking PDE5 inhibitor medications like ‘the blue pill’, or if you have tried painful penile injections which don’t allow for spontaneity, you may be a good candidate for focused shockwave therapy.

There are some contraindications to shockwave therapy – please discuss with your shockwave therapy clinician.

Every patient responds differently to shockwave – and that’s not surprising.
Not everyone has the same condition severity, overall vascular health, sexual desire, libido, and so on.

After booking your consultation, if it’s determined you are a candidate, you can book your treatments whenever you are ready.

We can also arrange consultations with other professionals (naturopathic physicians, dieticians, acupuncturists, personal trainers, pelvic floor physiotherapists, and much more) if you need some assistance.

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment FAQs
About Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment option that uses focused shockwaves to stimulate the body’s natural healing process by promoting neovascularization – the formation of new blood vessels. Clearing blocked blood vessels, the removal of calcifications, plaque and scar tissue, and improving circulation are the key results of successful treatment. The process was initially used to perform lithotripsy to destroy kidney stones without surgery.
You may see many different terms used for shockwave therapy, including ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy), acoustic wave therapy, radial shockwave therapy, and focused/linear shockwave therapy (F-SW). However, not all shockwave therapies are the same. Only focused shockwave therapy devices are approved to be used by the regulatory body for treating sexual health conditions. Focused shockwave treatment provides a targeted treatment that reaches the cellular level of your condition.

There are various benefits to choosing focused shockwave treatment over other types of shockwave treatment options. Focused shockwave treatment is a non-invasive, painless procedure that doesn’t require any numbing creams. Most of our patients can return to their daily activities once they are through with the treatment. Some additional benefits include:

  • No Pain

  • No Anesthetic
  • No Risk of Infection
  • No Scars
  • No Pills or Drugs
  • No Downtime
  • 80-90% Efficiency

We’re the only clinic in the area with this type of machine. So, when we say you can’t find treatment like this anywhere else, we mean it. Our device produces shockwaves that travel 1,500 meters per second through a wand that is gently pressed along the affected area.
